Teaching and Learning

A Confident Start to Life

11 Hilton Primary welcomes new girls and boys to the school at any stage of their academic lives.

We believe it is important for parents to provide their children with the best possible learning environment. When the match is a good one, the result is a strong, trusting relationship between family and school in which the child is the greatest beneficiary.

For those starting school at Hilton Primary there is the choice of an offsite Aboriginal kindergarten which services the wider district   and an onsite kindergarten at the school.

They continue their journey in pre-primary with programs that offer interactive, play based learning in a nurturing, stimulating and richly creative environment. We are committed to the National Early Years Learning Framework to give you child the best possible start to their schooling life.

Our spacious outside area has brand new adventure climbing equipment and is a delightful setting for outside play, with its established eucalypts, fruit trees and garden areas.

Years 1 – 7

Multi-age group classrooms provide teachers with the opportunity to ‘loop’ through two years with each student.  This provides a greater understanding of students’ needs and the delivery or tailored strategies to individuals.
